REINHOLD Heinrich (b. 1788, Gera, d. 1825, Albano) Nationality : German

German painter and engraver. His father was the portrait painter Johann Friedrich Reinhold (1744-1807). He studied at the Hochschule der Bildende Kunste in Dresden from 1804 to 1807. In 1807 he followed his brother, Friedrich Philipp Reinhold (1779-1840), who was also a painter, to Vienna, where he studied at the Akademie der Bildenden Kunste between 1807 and 1809. During the French occupation of the city in 1809, Vivant Denon brought him to Paris to work on a series of engravings about Napoleon.
